Step by Step Buying Guide

  1. After the decision is taken, a lawyer contract is signed.       

  2. The deposit is paid ( € 750 - ₤ 500 ).

  3. The customer gives Power of Attorney to the lawyer or the letsgototurkey team in order to take care of all the legal procedures.

  4. Lawyer or letsgototurkey team applies for the title deed on buyer's behalf, and secures the property until the title deed is received.

  5. It takes between 6 to 8 weeks.

  6. After the property is registered on the buyer's name then we  assist  for the utility registrations, water, phone line etc.

  7. Letsgototurkey Ltd. also provides after sales services for the apartments which include security checks, cleaning services and a lot more.

What are the extra costs of buying property in Turkey?

  • 1% property purchase tax (only once)

  • 1% lawyer fee (only once)

  • € 60 - ₤ 40 registration of  title deed on your name (only once)

  • € 100 - ₤ 60 for Power of Attorney and  contract translation (only once)

  • € 120 - ₤ 80 registration of electric and water meters

  • Water cost per m3:  Approx. € 0,75  - ₤ 0.50

  • Energy cost per kwh: Approx. € 0,10 - ₤ 0.06

  • Phone line: € 4 or ₤ 2.50 (only once)

  • Property tax:0,1% of the apartment value (approx. €15 or ₤ 10 per year.)

  • After all the legal issues are completed, we start to assist with the related purchases for furniture, air-conditions, electronics if required.

  • Assist you to open a bank  account in Turkey so that there are no worries about the bills when you are away.

  • Assist you to get a tax number that helps you with all the legal issues afterwards.

  • If the purchased property needs any renovation (kitchen, bathroom, etc.)  we are also a construction company and can organize this for you.

  • Assist you with the insurance companies.

  • If the customers want to rent the property, pick up service from airport and getting the property cleaned at the arranged times.
